R.A.V.E.N.—Radicals Avenging Victims Entrenched by Narcotics
Heroin addiction is a growing concern and has cost numerous people their lives.
According to heroinabuse.us last year 560,000 people tried heroin in the United States and 338,000 people tried heroin last month.
According to the 2008 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), approximately 3.8 million Americans aged 12 or older reported trying heroin at least once during their lifetimes. This represents 1.5% of the population aged 12 or older. 13.3% of eighth graders, 17.2% of tenth graders, and 25.4% of twelfth graders surveyed reported that heroin was "fairly easy" or "very easy" to obtain.
According to the Drug Abuse Warning Network of the estimated 113 million emergency department visits in 2006, it is estimated that just under 1,743,000 were drug-related, of these just under 190,000 were heroin related.
Mortality rates in 2009 published by the Center for Disease Control state 12.2 % (over 37,000) were drug-induced deaths.

We are a non-profit organization and have an E.I.N. for tax deductible contributions. Our main goal is AGGRESSIVE AWARENESS. We believe this will greatly aid in prevention. We have included an article about the opium trade to demonstrate how this drug has been used before to destroy a country and all of its potential. We have a prolific heroin epidemic in this country. Drug over dose is the single biggest killer of our young people. It is bigger than all other causes of death combined. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. Shame increases the abuse by keeping the problem in the darkness. It will take the efforts of us all to even stand a chance. The website has pictures of our daughter, Raven Elisabeth Galloway, to whom this foundation is dedicated. There is a lot of information we continue to post, for parents, families, and friends. We hope via grants that we will be continued to be invited to schools to educate our youth as to the specific dangers of this drug. We also aim to change some current legislature that prevents parents from getting their children help, some which is literally a matter of life and death. More than 500 people a day in this country since 2007 (growing expectations are up at least 35%) try heroin. Two/thirds of those people will become addicted the first time they try it. We beg all of you to pay attention to the news, educate yourselves about heroin, and realize as of today heroin is 3 degrees of separation from directly affecting YOU!! North Korea is now into free enterprise, to grow poppy to keep up with the American demand of heroin. Afghanistan is the number one producer of poppy, yet the current administration has banned the burning of poppy fields due to it being their primary source of income. The United States, like most countries, uses synthetic opiates in pharmaceuticals. Ironically, Afghanistan is in negotiations with India the second largest producer of heroin. Questions we all should be asking ourselves are why hasn’t the border of Mexico been closed when it can be established that the black tar heroin as well as human trafficking has been directly known to have a pipeline from Detroit to Mexico? Why is it that no politicians are talking about this epidemic? America is currently on our financial knees. Why all of us are distracted with our financial situation, the drug cartels and the powers that be, have been seducing our children with a drug so powerful, even those which do not have addictive personalities cannot stop. No money and no means to protect ourselves when this generation, referred to as Generation Rx, is nearly completely annihilated, is the fastest way for the U.S. to become a 3rd world country ruled by socialism. It is your responsibility to kNOwMORE. Heroin is sometimes referred as the white devil, we intend for it to go to H.E.L.L..
The Raising H.E.L.L. for R.A.V.E.N. Foundation was established in memory of Raven Elisabeth (Galloway) Lamoreaux after she died of a heroin related overdose on February 18, 2011. She was just twenty years old. She is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Solomonson and big sister of Rourke. Elizabeth Solomonson MA, LPC, is the founder, based out of Tecumseh, Michigan and established May 2011. The primarily goal is AGGRESSIVE AWARENESS, even when thought to be offensive. A secondary goal is prevention via curriculum targeted at ages twelve years old and above. It is the purpose of the organization to inform in an ethical, direct, factual, and educated platform. Even though we will not endorse political candidates or religious sectors, we will however, be VERY politically aware and DIRECT about information. The foundation believes its social obligation is to deliver the truth, eliminate shame, and bring this issue to the public forefront in an effort to save lives from an epidemic that is currently sweeping the country and potentially eliminating a generation. A generation now being referred to as Generation Rx. Other public service announcements which have helped to increase public awareness of prescription drug usage failed to notify the public of its direct link to heroin and death rates. We intend to correct that mistake; your child’s life may literally depend on this.
